Clearstream has released its integrated triparty collateral management solution following the go-live of the Eurosystem Collateral Management System (ECSM).

Introduced on 16 June, the ECMS is a unified system that aims to harmonise collateral management for Eurosystem credit operations, replacing the systems currently used by the 20 euro area national central banks.

According to Clearstream, it is the 鈥渙nly central securities depository鈥 to provide full triparty collateral management integration with the ECMS.

With the launch of the firm鈥檚 solution, market participants are now able to use the ECMS as a single pool of collateral across Europe for both bilateral and triparty collateral movements.

As part of the ECMS offering, Clearstream says it allows for the safekeeping and transfer of all European Central Bank (ECB)-eligible marketable assets through the firm鈥檚 Pan-European CSD solution.

Clearstream connects market participants to all T2S markets, across all asset classes, it confirms, enabling cross-bored investments across Europe.

Marton Szigeti, head of collateral, lending and liquidity solutions at Clearstream, says: 鈥淐learstream鈥檚 ECMS triparty solution is a cornerstone of the industry鈥檚 move toward harmonised post-trade infrastructures and real-time collateral mobility, supporting the transition to T+1 and the goals of a European Savings and Investments Union.

鈥淲e are very proud to have been able to offer integrated access to the ECMS via our unique triparty collateral management capabilities as of day one.鈥
