15 August 2025 US

Mustafa Al Niama, former head of the Americas digital assets desk at Goldman Sachs, has announced he will be joining Mysten Labs.
He will be joining the firm as a head of capital markets after 10 years at Goldman Sachs.
Having joined Goldman Sachs in 2015 as a senior associate, Al Niama went on to become the vice president of global banking and markets before taking on his most recent position.
Al Niama states via LinkedIn: 鈥淚 am excited to partner with leaders across the financial landscape 鈥 from asset managers, banks, and financial market infrastructures (FMIs), to fintechs and protocols.
鈥淥ur goal is to build these new capital markets rails together, unlocking unprecedented innovation, efficiency, and access鈥.
He says that his move comes at a key moment as the emerging regulatory clarity is a net positive, creating an environment for more capital to flow and for the architectural shift in the markets to hasten.
