OCC average daily loan value rises 18.6% YoY for October

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) has reported an 18.6 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase in average daily loan value for securities lending trades, generating US$207.2 billion for October.
Total securities lending transactions cleared on the OCC platform for the same month increased 35.6 per cent YoY to 376,952.
In terms of all futures and options cleared through the organisation, the total volume was up 50.5 per cent YoY to 1.68 billion contracts for October.
OCC also experienced a 63 per cent YoY increase in equity options contracts for the month to 958.8 million, and a 39.4 per cent YoY rise in index options contracts to 129.2 million.
ETF options volumes increased 36 per cent YoY to 586.6 million for the month.
Cleared futures contracts rose by 38.5 per cent YoY to 5.95 million.
