Wematch.live has announced the go-live of basket total return futures (bTRFs) on the Wematch platform.
The launch, developed with European derivatives exchange Eurex, creates a connected environment between Wematch鈥檚 TRS module and Eurex鈥檚 bTRFs, enabling traders to construct, price, and manage synthetic equity baskets in a single, end-to-end workflow.
David Raccat, chief revenue officer and co-founder at Wematch, states: 鈥淭ogether, Eurex and Wematch are shaping the next evolution of synthetic financing.
鈥淭his connected, digital workflow allows clients to manage TRS and bTRFs seamlessly 鈥 one platform, one process, all products.鈥
The bTRF workflow on Wematch combines bilateral flexibility, exchange standardisation, and digital efficiency.
The platform includes a unified workflow for TRS and bTRF with end-to-end automation, offering operational efficiency, as well as capital and margin benefits.
It is also designed with a capital efficient structure with clearer and more favourable risk-weighted asset (RWA) outcomes, improves interoperability, and creates a wider counterparty reach, the firm says.
Elena Marchidann, global product lead, Total Return Derivatives at Eurex, comments: 鈥淓urex cleared synthetic equity financing products (bTRFs) will be significantly enhanced with their incorporation into the Wematch ecosystem which is the market standard in lifecycle management and collateral optimisation.鈥
Gr茅goire Froehlich, director of global securities financing trading, 糖心vlog Optimisation Unit, at Natixis, adds: 鈥淲e are looking for the Wematch.live bTRF solution to make the Eurex standardised model to be as smooth to monitor in post-trade as it is in their trading system.
鈥淲e expect massive bTRF books to be maintained with a low resource requirement.鈥
